Kevin the Kia still does not like going below 7 litres of fuel it misfires and pops and bangs
I have had the sender unit and pump out and that is all ok the sender unit sits in a sort of tray within the tank which I presume is to help when the fuel gets low especially on hills or long curves which is where we were getting a problem. When I opened the tank it was full so I couldn't really see too. I have it was clean and didn't appear to have any water
My thoughts are that there is either a very small hole in the bottom of the tray designed to allow the fuel in, or a flap valve so that the fuel in the tray always stays at a minimum of the same as the main tank but maintains that level when cornering or going up hills this fits in exactly with the problems we are having when the tank is low and fits in with Hamish saving that the car didn't like being below 3/4 of a tank.
Fuel consumption is still high about 33 to the gallon but we are heavily Laden
At the moment Neil is trying to sort out cash we have no Russian money at the moment and the banks we have tried will not accept pounds
