The car, well is seems to be running OK after our problems yesterday I must put a picture of the handbook on the blog so that you can see that it was not my fault. Our fuel consumption has gone up enough to be slightly less of a worry
Neil already owes me 50 pence, I am charging him for every time we ding the sumpguard and yesterday was the first whilst negotiating the campsite, I keep you informed of fhe stakes as we go. We do have a problem in that the car is bottoming out on big bumps and we have plan in had which might involve dropping the rear suspension but we will keep you informed.
This morning saw us ready to move at about 9:00 am and along with all the others we made our ways to the famous Goodwodd pits, there must have 250 cars in the paddock ranging from an American 1960 Ford falcon through to a Berkely three wheeler with a Honda 400 engine, Nissan mica seemed to be the favourite car of choice many of them being picked up blind by entrants from all over the world
I saw Number plates from America Malta France Belgium Holland Norway italy Denmark and Ireland there was even a Taiwanese Honda 90' complete with a snap on toolbox as panniers and top box which had been shipped from Florida.
After a brief pep talk we were released for a lap of the circuit and then out onto the roads towards Newhaven being constantly overtaken by other cars heading the same route qhh
