Into Russia

We are just over the border of Russia and Ukraine on the Russian side, at a place called Sudzha near Kirsk
Our crossing was worthy of being a Monty Python sketch with Neil being told he was a very naughty boy and being sent back three times to rewrite his form by the border guard from hell I was literally biting my lip to stop me bursting out in laughter it was son funny, in fairness to Neil it was the form from hell written in Russian badly spaced and asking really obscure questions with regards to importing the car.
I think it took three hours from one side to the other but we faintly got through and then found ourselves in hotel with no local currency and no credit card being accepted I was already the wrong side of a beer by this time Neil was going more and more agitated until he relalised that he was using euros instead of dollars as an exchange rate.
But we are now safely ensconced in the garden having a meal the only problem is that there is a wedding and a disco going on a the Russians really do like loud music my head is already pounding. We have had pork steak and something and a second beer. A bit of a hard day today bad roads and some car problems
I am going off now to finish my beer and will try and fill you in with the car problems later
